Smith Sends Two to State

Newman Smith will have one, possibly two, representatives at the 2023 UIL State Wrestling Championships in Cypress, TX. Senior Captain LaShiara Wilson (185 lbs.) returns to the tournament for the second straight year after a 4th place finish at the UIL Region 3 tournament. 

Senior Captain Paulina Chavez Muro (120 lbs., left) will also make the trip as an alternate for Region 3, finishing at 5th place.
